Day 30 // Every Word of God Proves True

Proverbs 30

The Sayings of Agur

1 The sayings of Agur son of Jakeh contain this message.

I am weary, O God;

I am weary and worn out, O God.

2 I am too stupid to be human,

and I lack common sense.

3 I have not mastered human wisdom,

nor do I know the Holy One.

4 Who but God goes up to heaven and comes back down?

Who holds the wind in his fists?

Who wraps up the oceans in his cloak?

Who has created the whole wide world?

What is his name—and his son’s name?

Tell me if you know!

This morning Proverbs 30-8 pushed through to the forefront. I want to be as honest and pure as I can so I pray for this on a daily basis, I also want to be grateful for what I have rather than focusing on what I want. This one verse summed it up in threee sentances. Thank you Lord for giving me your message through the words you have given us. I ask for help in these areas in my life and am truely grateful for all you have given me.

Yeah..I slept better last night..i prayed for sleep before I went to bed and the Lord answered my prayer…many times I don’t prayer for the little things in life but when I do he is there. WOW..Proverbs 30:8 sang to my heart this morning :” He is a shield to all who come to him for protection. ” Thank you Lord for protecting my family and all others who shine for you.

So many of the verses in Proverbs have applied to my life..if I were to pick one it would be Proverbs 23:31…” But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on the wings of eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Trusting in and depending on the lord gives me and my family strength…the words of his book gives us wisdom and hope, he is there for us when we are weary, he picks us up when we fall. Thank you dear Lord for loving me and my family…thank you for the strength and direction you provide in our lives.

I liked Verse 5 that states that “Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection”.

In a world that is falling apart it brings me comfort that I can find everything God tells me as true and time proves it. I also like the fact that I can go to him when life is difficult and find a shield of protection. He surrounds me with his love and comfort and gives me a hope for the future.

I as well like verse 5. It is great to read and know that every word of God proves true.

Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.

7 O God, I beg two favors from you; let me have them before I die.

8 First, help me never to tell a lie. Second, give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs.

These verses remind me to be thankful for the blessings the Lord has given me. It also brings back to me a verse earlier in Proverbs where it warns about wearing yourself out trying to get rich. Being reminded that God satisfies my needs lifts a huge weight off of me.

Verse 5 is not only the one that means the most to me today, but thus far throughout our P31 challenge.

There is no better feeling in the world to know that God is hear to protect us from the evil spirits.

At such a worldly time and turmoil we should be grateful and unwanting. Pastor Kerry, your direction has been a great reward and benefit for me. Your work has led to my peace in knowing that God is with my every step. Proverbs 3:1, “My child never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart.” This speaks to me and says it all. Again, thank you for inspiring me to study and follow the word of our Lord.

Pastor Kerry I am the one that your dad came to visit when I was hospitalized for that extended period. So with one day to go the verse that just grabs me is the one I believe its in Proverbs 14 that says “you can make your plan, but it is God that decides what steps you take”. When you step where God directs you, you will find a way to prevail. He will NOT bring you too it if He can’t bring you thru it! Bank on it!

Today verses 8&9 stood out because that is it.. just enough to suit our needs is what i need in my life … i could go without a lot of comforts i have in my life and i am beginning to find out how to give more in our church and other things out there that help the less fortunate so that their needs are met.
It feels great to know you are helping and making more and more smiles possible.

Throughout all of P31 i would have to say what spoke to me the most was Proverbs 1:20-33(wisdom shouts in the streets)
This spoke to me the loudest because i really do like the way it isn’t sugar coting anything for us.. it tells us strait forward that He is wisdom and so is His word! He calls on us everyday in different ways to know Him better. It is up to us if we want to become wise in Him. I love the way he gives us that CHOICE to love him, true love. Proverbs 1:23 “Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise.”

Pray everyday that we hear Him and that we consult and tell him everything. Kill those feelings of anxiety and guilt. Do not ignore him… let us all become more wise. Becoming closer to God is really helping me understand the meaning of the word AWEsome..
i am in awe of him and all he is and does for you and me. That brings a smile to my face everyday.
Thank you Woodlands Church and pastro Kerry for motivatingng me to want to become closer to our God.

The first four verses remind me of the book of Job. The profound description of God as the Master of all things – the wind, the oceans, and all of creation is awe-inspiring, and a good reminder of how small we are, and how all-powerful God is.

Pastor kerry can we start reading bible again in a daily basis.i am so blessed everyday to start my day, learning the words of god. Thank you and God bless you

9 For if I grow rich, I may deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?” And if I am too poor, I may steal and thus insult God’s holy name.
As a nation we have come to a crossroads where many say ” who is the Lord”. We have loss our compass as a nation. Our founding fathers were grounded in the word. They knew very well who had carried them through the Revolution. They had overcome unsurmountable odds against the most powerful country in the world. Many of the original signers of the Declaration of independence had lost their entire fortunes during the war. We need to pray for our country now. We are at a critical point in our history. Do we follow God and stand firm as Christians? Or do we become part of the masses and succome to the vile rhetoric?

Verses 5,7,and 8 spoke to me, i believe that god word is true because it shows through out the day.He is our shield because he protect us through the day. I think verse 7 ties together with 8 and i try not to lie because it’s bad, but sometime we can’t help it. we want to get new things or things that we want, but this tells us to pray to him to satisy our needs or gives us enough to satisy our needs.
