Mysteries of the Deep

Ever feel like there simply must be more to life?

C. S. Lewis once said,

“We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered to us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”

That quote inspired our new series that begins this weekend at a Woodlands Church campus near you. I’m calling it Mysteries of the Deep. Each weekend we’ll explore the mysteries of God and His work in our lives. This weekend I will be sharing a message entitled Mud Puddles and Miracles – The Mysteries of the Deeper Life. If you’re tired of wading in the shallow end of life and want to discover the depths of what God has for you, then make sure you’re here this weekend. In fact, this is a message you will not want to keep to yourself, so please take a moment and invite a friend to join you.

You can also take your journey even deeper in this series by doing the P31 Challenge — exploring the depths of God’s wisdom as you read a chapter in Proverbs every day beginning Monday, February 7th. Right here at the new Woodlands Church Blog, I will tee up the chapter for you with a brief video blog. As you read God’s wisdom and apply it to your life, click on the ‘Comments’ link on each daily post so I can hear from you about all that God is showing you.

I’m thankful the weather is supposed to clear up for a sunny and super weekend at Woodlands Church!
